Abstract
In these recent years data analysis and protection are the traditional mechanism issues in any organization. The use of data mining technologies brings difficulties to the information security. For data processing the traditional data mining algorithms are used, but the use of traditional algorithms break the privacy of sensitive data. Hence to overcome on such issue, modifications to the data will take place in such way that it will allow extracting the knowledge discovery from the data mining process, the resulting process will highlight the goal of the data mining process & unwanted disclosure of sensitive data will be prohibited. To protect data from threats, had given rise to a new research source, called as Privacy Preserving Data Mining (PPDM). It mainly focuses on how to reduce the risk in Data Processing, Transformation Data, Data Mining or KDD, and Evaluating the pattern & Pattern Presentation. It has four different types of users involved in data mining applications. For each user, it focuses on its privacy and how to protect sensitive information.
