Abstract
Automation is now growing field of engineering in today’s world. To fulfill this need of automation there are many alternatives are available in engineering field, Robotics and SPM are best of them. In robotics, many motions can be generated by different joints and actuation. To achieve actuation actuators are used. Actuators are of many types. Electro-mechanical actuators are widely used in robotics and SPM. By electro-mechanical linear actuators, precise linear motions can be generated. This motion can be used in various application of manufacturing and industry. Many industries developed this type of actuators. So, to develop this type of manipulator it is necessary that every element and their alternatives are to be studied. This study can be very useful for the design this actuator for different applications.
